27 February view over Stonehenge as published by The Telegraph. Apparently there will be a number of good sightings of the Northern Lights in the next few years according to the scientists! This was followed by some weird March weather in the UK including:
- thin, flakey clouds on the move
- snow intercepted with some sunshine
- and generally dreichy days as in dreich meaning dull and miserable weather, a favourite Scottish word.
We called this 'the splat.' It was fun to watch them put it up.
We visited a new museum locally, the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. The exhibits are great, but the building is even better, complete with a dramatic internal spiral staircase. We recommend a visit.
Back on the beach, lots to see - the helicopter chased this boat for quite awhile - we deduced it was filming - exiting if a movie, but more likely some advertisement.
This is a Tiki drinking boat, one that spins and made me feel seasick!
and here we have an unusual circular kite ...
Now, never say never...but I never want to try to do any building projects again, after the two I am trying to get started are done! Getting planning permissions and working with architects and lawyers at their pace, with their ideas, at their fees is taxing my patience to new limits - who is the client here??? So onward and upward looking at some beautiful seascapes - aren't I lucky to have this view?!?
Here the sun made a spotlight.
