Jetsam, Flotsam, Wrack or Beached/ Washed Up ?????

Me thinks mini me is on the wrong side of the Atlantic with such excitement near her FL home!
(But then she would have missed the unexpected Red Arrow flyby here in Kent).

The 9 hour rescue whale event even made Tuesday's BBC TV news in the UK!

First there were storms and this casualty last week (near 143 Ave):

and today now this (near 161 Ave) from BayNews9 - 5 pilot whales. Page down to watch the video here.
According to Bay News 9 "Crews, with the aid of boats will bring two of the whales to a rehabilitation facility in Tarpon Springs. The other three will be guided back out to deeper water.

It remains unclear why the whales became beached. According to officials, pilot whales usually swim in large groups 100-plus miles offshore."

Facebook films on My Beach

A recent Virgin trains advert was filmed in Ramsgate, numerous TV shows and music videos filmed in Thanet (including an advert for 'Vera') and now Ford is filming at the Western Esplanade tunnel and Facebook on our beach right out our window!

I think the Virgin ad makes the point - watch it here. The moving seat starts out on one of the main shopping streets in our local town.

It sure does take a bunch of people to make an advert (that is my polite way of saying lots of people standing about on their mobiles!). And it was looking a bi grey for an advert, but who knows what the production company will do including inserting a sunny sky??

UK politics would be entertaining if not so serious - and sadly sounding and looking more and more like US politics -- here's my favorite take on it all.

Back to the more mundane, hobbling about with injured ankle means my adventures have been confined to looking out the window - the grey UK border force ship is patrolling and the coast guard helicopter is more frequent these days along with many many cargo ships - and crafting. I do recommend a Knee Scooter which gives a bit more freedom to move about.

The summer light is here - meaning it gets dark about 10 pm - but the temperature is still Spring-like which I know is the envy of my Florida friends in the heatwave!

We are serenaded this evening by Lunar Blues Band (sounds very R&R 80's to me) complete with funfair rides & fireworks.

I cannot show off the birthday present craft yet -- Happy Summer all!

Just experimenting . . .
fabric necklace
shrug - love the variegated yarn

and my favourite - under construction, but you get the idea
