Jetsam, Flotsam, Wrack or Beached/ Washed Up ?????

Me thinks mini me is on the wrong side of the Atlantic with such excitement near her FL home!
(But then she would have missed the unexpected Red Arrow flyby here in Kent).

The 9 hour rescue whale event even made Tuesday's BBC TV news in the UK!

First there were storms and this casualty last week (near 143 Ave):

and today now this (near 161 Ave) from BayNews9 - 5 pilot whales. Page down to watch the video here.

According to Bay News 9 "Crews, with the aid of boats will bring two of the whales to a rehabilitation facility in Tarpon Springs. The other three will be guided back out to deeper water.

It remains unclear why the whales became beached. According to officials, pilot whales usually swim in large groups 100-plus miles offshore."

Pinellas County deputies, as well as officials from Florida Fish and Wildlife officials, along with Clearwater Marine Aquarium marine biologists came to the aid of five distressed whales. (Kristie Steele, viewer)
