Horses, Sea Foam and Skateboards on the Beach ...

Tossa de Mar Spain, Photo by 'In the Know'
Welcome to 2020!  I still cannot believe it has arrived .  Here's the new year antics on our beach ---

OK, this picture is not here, but it does remind me of all the sea foam we see on our beach - I hope we are never overrun like this picture - mini me would certainly drown. Storm Gloria dumped this lot on the coastal town north of Barcelona.

Sea foam is naturally occurring and forms when ocean water is shaken (not stirred).

Back in Florida, we have more mundane things to worry about - manatees plagued by ocean plastic and boat strikes. Here's a great postcard from 'Save the Manatees' Club - it says it all. See manatee pictures from previous blogs (including 30 Nov 2019).

Beach polo has arrived - although a slightly shortened form of play.

All of a sudden we heard chanting/shouting on the beach and saw this organized activity - but what exactly these people were doing kneeling in the surf line, I have no idea .. never seen before or since. You will see a few other puzzled people watching in this picture left.

And here's an adventurous person. I think this requires a damp, flat beach Don't get in their way!

On the crafting front: 40 more pillows sewn & stuffed for the local children's hospital dialysis unit - thanks to my Bible Study girlfriends!
The framed result of saving a memory from a tatty heirloom quilt (see previous blog) -->

And made with a Yoplait Oui yogurt jar (not that this yogurt is especially healthy - hee hee).

Of course you can never have too many pictures of sand patterns or cloud formations or sunsets ... I only wish my camera would capture the fantastic moon reflections we get too.
